1. Who we are

CookNextDoor ("we", "us", "our") operates the website cooknextdoor.org and associated mobile interfaces. We are based in Singapore. For privacy queries, contact service@cooknextdoor.org.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account data: Name, email address, profile photo (via Google sign-in)
Cook listings: Dish name, description, price, availability, location (approximate)
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, device type, browser
Communications: Messages sent via our Contact form

We do not collect payment details — all transactions occur directly between users.

3. How we use your data

To create and manage your account
To display your listings to nearby users
To improve the platform and fix bugs
To send service-related notifications (not marketing without consent)
To respond to your enquiries and support requests

4. Data sharing

We share limited data with the following trusted services:

Google Firebase: Authentication and database (Google LLC, USA)
Google Fonts / APIs: Font delivery and maps

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.

5. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Object to certain types of processing
Port your data in a machine-readable format
